ISSC GOES TO CAMPUS 2023 HELD AT UDAYANA UNIVERSITY CIVIL ENGINEERING UNDERGRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMME
Udayana University Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program has held Indonesian Society of Steel Construction (ISSC) Goes to Campus 2023. on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 at Sudirman Campus, Udayana University with the theme "Steel Construction Design". The activity aims to provide insight into the steel industry, provide an introduction to the world of steel construction to students in the faculty of engineering, improve the quality of human resources in mastering industrial technology and steel construction, and provide opportunities for students, lecturers and stakeholders to get to know steel construction more broadly by providing the latest and sustainable information.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.,Sc.,Ph.D on the occasion revealed that this activity could provide a forum for information related to steel construction and become a medium for students to gain insight into industrial developments. She also hoped that students could have an overview of the world of steel construction and related industries. Furthermore, the Chairman of the ISSC Committee, Dr Drs. Ir. Edison Hatoguan Manurung, S.T., M.M., M.T., M.H. on the same occasion stated that students can get direct experience from practitioners and this activity will open up knowledge related to renewable technology, with the aim that students will adapt more quickly in the world of work later. He also added that the same activity roadshow was held on 24 campuses throughout Java and Bali, and had been running since 12 September 2023. The activity at Udayana University was the twenty-fourth implementation, presenting 8 speakers from academics and 7 practitioners.
